Interreligious Council of Albania attends an International Meeting in the USA

The Interreligious Council of Albania participated in the international conference “Multi-religious and multi-stakeholder partnership for peace and development”, which took place in New York, on December 10-13, 2019.

Further to the conclusions of its 10th World Assembly held in Lindau Germany, in August 2019, the US-based international organisation “Religions for Peace”, convened an international meeting to discuss the 2020-2025 Strategic Plan.

This international meeting brought together 250 men, women and young people from all over the world, including 50 researchers in interfaith dialogue, representatives of government institutions and interreligious councils from all around the world.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Genti Kruja, Secretary General of the Interreligious Council of Albania, who emphasized the Albanian model of religious harmony and coexistence, the role played by religious communities to strengthen and promote this spirit and the work that the Interreligious Council is doing in this area.
