The Interreligious Council of Albania donates 5,000 $ in hospital equipment in Tepelena Hospital

The Interreligious Council of Albania through the cooperation of five official religious communities in our country has undertaken another humanitarian initiative, modestly helping hospital funds in the amount of 5,000 $ to the civil hospital of Tepelena.

The donation of IRCA for the hospital “Përparim Tepelena” in the city of Tepelena, comes at a time of challenges for the health of the citizens of our country, which for almost two years is facing the pandemic Covid 19.

In the delivery of hospital equipment purchased with the contributions of All religious communities, an integral part of the Interreligious Council of Albania, were attended by the present Chairman of the IRCA H. Dede Edmond Brahimaj at the same time the World Leader of the Bektashis, representatives of regional religious communities, as well as the Head of Finance at the IRCA Mrs. Sheldiana Jano. Hospital equipment consisted mainly of hospital beds, emergency wheelchairs, air conditioners, blood pressure monitors, oximeters, etc., which were donated to the emergency department of Tepelena Hospital.

At the handover ceremony were present Tërmet Peçi, the Mayor of Tepelena and Mrs. Suela Selimi, the Director of the Hospital “Përparim Tepelena”, who welcomed this necessary initiative, coming from interfaith cooperation through the IRCA, as an inspiring model for other donations in the future for people and institutions in need.

The meeting concluded with a visit to the hospital premises and the good will to continue with these initiatives for people and institutions in need.
