Gjergj Meta (Kryetar i Konferenc\u00ebs Ipeshkvore t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb dhe Arqipeshkv i Dioqez\u00ebs s\u00eb Rr\u00ebshenit), i cili vjen pas mandatit t\u00eb Fortlumturis\u00eb s\u00eb Tij Anastas Janullatos (Kryepeshkop i Kish\u00ebs Ortodokse Autoqefale t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb), i cili \u00ebsht\u00eb dhe nj\u00eb nga themeluesit e KNFSH-s\u00eb m\u00eb 2007 dhe kryetar i K\u00ebshillit Nd\u00ebrfetar p\u00ebr dy mandate (2018-2019 dhe 2024).<\/p>\n

Mons. Gjergj Meta \u00ebsht\u00eb k\u00ebshtu kryetari i shtat\u00eb i K\u00ebshillit Nd\u00ebrfetar t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, rotacion i cili nisi zbatimin n\u00eb mbledhjen e 22 tetorit 2018, ku krer\u00ebt e komuniteteve fetare riorganizuan KNFSH-n\u00eb dhe p\u00ebrdit\u00ebsuan statutin, duke filluar k\u00ebshtu praktikisht dhe rotacionin e drejtimit t\u00eb K\u00ebshillit Nd\u00ebrfetar, miratuar nga Bordi i Presidenc\u00ebs, ku kreu i \u00e7do komuniteti fetar kryeson KNFSH-n\u00eb p\u00ebr nj\u00eb vit kalendarik.<\/p>\n

Who is Mons. Gjergj Meta?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gjergj Meta \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb figur\u00eb e shquar e Kish\u00ebs Katolike Shqiptare, i lindur m\u00eb 30 prill 1976 n\u00eb Durr\u00ebs. Ai ka ndjekur studimet filozofike dhe teologjike n\u00eb Itali, ku p\u00ebrfundoi studimet n\u00eb Fakultetin Teologjik t\u00eb Puglias dhe mori formim t\u00eb thelluar n\u00eb Seminarin Nd\u00ebrkrahisor Puliez “Piu XI”. Pas shugurimit si meshtar n\u00eb 2001, ka sh\u00ebrbyer n\u00eb pozita t\u00eb ndryshme kishtare, fillimisht si zv\/famullitar n\u00eb Durr\u00ebs dhe Tiran\u00eb, dhe m\u00eb pas si administrator i Famullis\u00eb Katedrale t\u00eb Sh\u00ebn Palit n\u00eb Tiran\u00eb, famullitar n\u00eb Kam\u00ebz Luz dhe Gramz\u00eb, dhe famullitar i Sh\u00ebn Lu\u00e7is\u00eb n\u00eb Durr\u00ebs. Gjithashtu, ka pasur nj\u00eb rol t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsish\u00ebm si Dekan i Dekanatit Per\u00ebndimor dhe Vikar i P\u00ebrgjithsh\u00ebm i Arkidioqez\u00ebs Tiran\u00eb-Durr\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

After his ordination as a priest in 2001, he served in various ecclesiastical positions, initially as deputy parish priest in Durr\u00ebs and Tirana, and later as administrator of the Cathedral Parish of St. Paul in Tirana, parish priest in Kam\u00ebz, Luz, and Gramz\u00eb, and parish priest of St. Lucia in Durr\u00ebs. He also played an important role as Dean of the Western Deanery and Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Tirana-Durr\u00ebs.<\/p>\n

N\u00eb tetor 2023, ai em\u00ebrohet nga Papa Fran\u00e7esku, si an\u00ebtar i Sinodit t\u00eb Ipeshkvinj\u00ebve mbi Sinodalitetin.<\/p>\n

Nd\u00ebrsa n\u00eb vitin 2024 Mons. Gjergj Meta zgjidhet si President i Konferenc\u00ebs Ipeshkvore t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb, duke udh\u00ebhequr Kish\u00ebn Katolike n\u00eb vend dhe duke kontribuar n\u00eb zhvillimin e saj n\u00eb nivel komb\u00ebtar dhe nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Mons. Gjergj Meta was elected President of the Albanian Episcopal Conference, leading the Catholic Church in Albania and contributing to its development at both national and international levels.<\/p>\n
